Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed at Los Angeles, California on November 18th 1985. She was the daughter of Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley and the mother of her child Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix demonstrated a talent in athletics from the beginning, and soon discovered her talent for sprinting during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Only 10 weeks after her initial tryout, she placed in second place in the 200 meters at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix graduated from high school and subsequently signed an agreement for Adidas. In 2004, she began her studies at an institution called the University of Southern California, where her major was elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic award at 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. Felix ran 200 meters in 22.18s and set the new world junior record. She was the youngest winner of the 200-meter race at the World Championships that took place in Helsinki in 2005. She was able to defend her record time and time again in 2007 beating her long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently in the top third of each event she competed in at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
